S150 displays 22 virtual disks on POST instead of 30 virtual disks Description: The maximum number of virtual disks that are supported in OPROM is 24. • If the physical disks are connected, only 22 virtual disks are displayed. • If an optical drive is connected, and a DVD disk is inserted into the optical drive, then 23 virtual disks are displayed. • If two optical drives with DVD disks inserted into the optical drives are connected, then 24 virtual disks are displayed. Corrective action: This is an expected behavior and no action is required. S150 displays 43 virtual disks on POST instead of 30 virtual disks Description: The maximum number of virtual disks that are supported in UEFI is 30. • You cannot create more than 30 virtual disks. • During virtual disk management and re-scan operations, you can see only 30 virtual disks. This is an expected behavior. • If a drive or drives with virtual disks are imported from another system, then 43 virtual disks are displayed. Corrective action: This is an expected behavior and no action is required. Display of failed virtual disk in HII Description: If any failed virtual disk is present in the system, then it is not listed under View Virtual Disk Properties. The failed virtual disk is listed under Select Virtual Disk Operations and Manage Virtual Disk Properties. Corrective Action: This is an expected behavior and no action is required. Virtual disk size in decimals is not supported while creating a VD Likely Cause: After entering the disk size value, changing the virtual disk size unit from MB to GB or GB to TB and so on changes the disk size value. Corrective Action: It is recommended to select the virtual disk size unit before specifying the disk size value. Cannot create a virtual disk If you are unable to create a virtual disk, check the following causes: 1. The physical disk is not displayed. 2. Insufficient free space available on the selected physical disks. 3. Incorrect number of physical disks selected for the desired RAID level on page 51. 4. The desired physical disk is unavailable. 5. The system already has a maximum of 30 virtual disks. The physical disk is not displayed This error might be because: 1. Description:

Corrective Action:

This is an expected behavior and no action is required.

Virtual disk size in decimals is not supported while creating

a VD

Likely Cause:

After entering the disk size value, changing the virtual disk size unit from MB to GB or GB to TB and so on

changes the disk size value.

Corrective Action:

It is recommended to select the virtual disk size unit before specifying the disk size value.

Cannot create a virtual disk

If you are unable to create a virtual disk, check the following causes:

The physical disk is not displayed

Insufficient free space available on the selected physical disks

Incorrect number of physical disks selected for the desired RAID level
