Rotate the power supply up until it locks (see Figure 5-18). 2. Squeeze the latch and disconnect the fan power cable from the processor fan connector (see Figure 5-20). 3. Remove the airflow shroud. 4. Gently pull the plastic lock, and push down on the fan to disengage the four latching tabs holding the fan to the back of the chassis. 5. Remove the fan. Processor Fan Removal
To remove the processor fan, follow these steps:
1.
Rotate the power supply up until it locks (see Figure 5-18).
2.
Squeeze the latch and disconnect the fan power cable from the
processor fan connector (see Figure 5-20).
3.
Remove the airflow shroud.
4.
Gently pull the plastic lock, and push down on the fan to disengage the
four latching tabs holding the fan to the back of the chassis.
5.
Remove the fan.
Pull the fan slightly forward and out of the computer.
