You can configure BLE operation modes and enable the BLE Beacon Management feature by using the Instant UI or the CLI. In the Instant UI Configuring BLE mode: 1. Click More > Services. 2. Click the RTLS tab. The tab details are displayed. 3. To manage the BLE devices using BMC, select Manage BLE Beacons. 4. Enter the authorization token. The authorization token is a text string of 1-255 characters used by the BLE devices in the HTTPS header when communicating with the BMC. This token is unique for each deployment. 5. In Endpoint URL, enter the URL of the server to which the BLE sends the monitoring data. 6. Select any of the following options from Operation Mode drop-down list: Table 64: BLE Operation Modes Mode Description Beaconing The built-in BLE chip of the W-IAP functions as an iBeacon combined with the beacon management functionality. Disabled The built-in BLE chip of the W-IAP is turned off. The BLE operation mode is set to Disabled by default. DynamicConsole The built-in BLE chip of the W-IAP functions in the beaconing mode and dynamically enables access to W-IAP console over BLE when the link to the Local Management Switch (LMS) is lost. PersistentConsole The built-in BLE chip of the W-IAP provides access to the W-IAP console over BLE and also operates in the Beaconing mode. 7. Click OK. In the CLI To enable BLE beacon management: (Instant AP)(config)# ble config (Instant AP)(config)# end (Instant AP)# commit apply To configure a BLE operation mode: (Instant AP)(config)# ble mode (Instant AP)(config)# end (Instant AP)# commit apply To view the BLE configuration details: (Instant AP)# show ble-config Clarity Live W-IAP provides support for Inline Monitoring support using Clarity Live to identify client connectivity issues and sends user debug data to W-AirWave. The client connectivity issues can be a problem with the client, Radius Authentication, DHCP, DNS, or it can be delay in the network.
