ENGLISH 3. DEVICE OPERATION SUPPORTED AUDIO CD In addition to standard CD-DA discs, the DN-C620 can read several other CD-DA formats. Please refer to page 22 for detail of reading and operation of data discs. Compact Disc Digital Audio (CD-DA) INSERTING AND EJECTING A DISC Inserting and Ejecting a disc is only available when the unit is powered on. 1. If the unit is OFF, press the POWER ON/OFF switch to turn on the power. 2. Hold the disc by the edges and insert it in the DISC slot. (Do not touch the signal surface, i.e., glossy side.) 3. Press the EJECT button to eject the disc. Compact Disc TEXT (CD TEXT) Enhanced Music CD (CD EXTRA) NOTE: • Some copy-controlled CDs may not conform to official CD standards. They are special discs and may not play on the DN-C620. PLAYMODE ■ Messages Messages may appear on the display while using the DN-C620. The meanings of the messages are explained below. No Disc Eject Locked Message Meaning No disc is inserted. Unit is playing and Eject lock is on in the preset menu. CAUTIONS: • Do not push in the disc manually when the power is off as this may cause malfunction and damage the CD player. 11
