You see the following window: Select your paper type (see page 32) Select Color for color documents and black and white photographs Select Automatic mode Select Quality or Speed (for faster printing) Tip: For more information about printer settings, click Help. The Macintosh OS X printer driver contains a subset of the settings available with the Macintosh OS 8.5.1 to 9.x printer driver described in this book. For example, double-sided printing is not available on Macintosh OS X. 7. Make the following settings: ■ Choose the Media Type for your paper. If you're not sure which setting to select, see page 32. ■ For Ink, select Color to print color documents or black and white photographs, and Black to print grayscale or black text documents. ■ Set the mode to Automatic. It's the easiest way to get good printing results on all types of paper. ■ Set the slider in the Mode box to Quality or Speed to select higher quality or faster printing. (The slider may not be available for your Media Type.) 23
