Nothing appears on the LCD screen. ◗ The camera may have shut off automatically to save power. Press the POWER button to turn it back on. Also make sure the mode dial is turned completely to a mode. ◗ When the camera is connected to a computer, the LCD screen is disabled. When it is connected to a printer, press any button to display the print progress screen. After a moment, it disappears again. Image Problems Images are out of focus. ◗ Place your subject in the center of the focus frame and press the shutter button halfway. You see a green focus frame. Reframe your photo as necessary and press the button all the way down. ◗ Make sure you are at least 20 inches away from your subject (or 2 inches in Macro mode). ◗ Make sure the lens is clean. If not, blow off any loose dust, then breathe on the lens and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. ◗ If the captured image is blurred, you may have moved the camera. Hold the camera with your arm close to your body when shooting. Use a tripod for night scenes and other low light situations. 43
