Function Selection There are six circular indentations at the top of the Citation Receiver. These are the Touch Sensors of the function selector. PHONO 1 PHONO 2 FM AM AUX 1 AUX 2 Each Touch Sensor uses the skin's conductivity to trigger a network of integrated circuit gates and switches. The network effects electronic switching on the various circuit boards inside the Receiver. By reducing internal signal paths and maintain- ing the excellent high frequency response of the electronics, this convenient arrangement allows the Receiver to actually sound better Each Sensor has a corresponding lamp with the appropriate label to the right of the dialscale. For example, PHONO 1. the topmostlamp, corresponds to the leftmost Sensor. The second Sensor from the left is PHONO 2. The remaining Sensors are, in order: FM, AM, AUX 1, andAUX 2. Each time the Citation Receiver is switched on, the function selector is automatically set to PHONO 1, and the PHONO 1 lamp is illuminated. To select another function, simply touch the appropriate Sensor. When the corresponding lamp is illuminated, that function has been activated. 9
