2 ficonClear ficonClear Synopsis Clears the records from the specified FICON database. ficonclear database Description Use this command to remove records from the local FICON database. The command effect depends on the specified database. Note The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place. Refer to chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for details. Operands This command has the following operand: database Specifies the name of the FICON database. The databases are: RLIR Remove all entries from the link incidents database including implicit link incidents (ILIR). RNID Remove all the "not current" entries from the device node identification database. The entries are for devices that were previously connected but are no longer online. Note that "current" entries are not removed from the RNID database. Examples To clear the RLIR database: switch:user> ficonclear RLIR successfully clear local RLIR Database.
