Contact an HP sales representative for information on Configure to Order (CTO) product offerings and requirements. The Workgroup System Tower pre-installation procedures are: 1. Read the HP BladeSystem c3000 Enclosure QuickSpecs, HP BladeSystem c3000 Tower Enclosure Setup and Installation Guide, and all of the pertinent HP BladeSystem hardware component documentation such as the Onboard Administrator, server blades, storage blades, and the interconnects and BladeSystem modules. Also read the operating system software manuals and system management software manuals. With your HP sales representative's assistance, determine whether any of the HP services available might be right for you before attempting to install the Workgroup System Tower yourself. Use the HP BladeSystem Power Sizer tool to calculate your Workgroup System Tower's power requirements and determine if your work site's power is adequate. Consult a trained technician for any site power requirements, recommendations, and potential modifications. HP recommends that you schedule any necessary work site modifications before installing a new Workgroup System Tower. An HP representative will assist you with the HP BladeSystem Power Sizer tool, if necessary. Important: For c3000 low-line power cords, order the appropriate power cord for your location's standard electrical outlets. For high-line power examples, see Appendix A. 2.2 Site Recommendations For a successful deployment of the Workgroup System Tower, site preparation and planning is necessary. Check the height, depth, width, and weight of the Workgroup System Tower, as documented in the HP BladeSystem c3000 Enclosure QuickSpecs.
