Chapter 2 Connecting and Routing Cables to the HP NetServer LPr Three Types of Power Distribution Unit The three types of Power Distribution Units (PDUs) currently supplied are shown in Figure 2-2: ◊ The 100/120 VAC PDU (HP product number E7675A) is designed to fit horizontally between the columns of the rack, but can also be mounted vertically along the outside edge of the vertical column. See Figure 2-4. This PDU is supplied as a 16-amp unit with nine available NEMA 5-15R receptacles and one IEC 320 C13 fan receptacle. ◊ The wide-ranging 208/240 VAC PDU (HP product number E7671A) is designed to fit horizontally between the columns of the rack, but can also be mounted vertically along the outside edge of the vertical column. This PDU is rated 16 amps and has six available C13 receptacles and two 19 receptacles. ◊ A wide-ranging 208/240 VAC configuration 10-amp extension (HP product number E7670A) is available to be plugged into the 16-amp unit to extend the number of C13 receptacles by an additional 10 (HP product number E7672A when 10 amp, 16 amp, and jumper cord are ordered together). This accessory also allows positioning of receptacles at various levels in the rack. (To order the 16-amp unit with its 10amp extension and jumper cable, order HP part number E7672A.). 16
