Mounting the PDU on an LPr Rear Bracket-PDU

Page 26 highlights

Chapter 2 Connecting and Routing Cables to the HP NetServer LPr Mounting the PDU on an LPr Rear Bracket-PDU In high-density LPr installations, you may choose to mount PDUs on the rear brackets which are also used to mount each LPr chassis. These optional rear bracket PDUs come with each LPr. Take these steps and refer to Figure 2-5: NOTE The brackets serve to dampen vibration of the server chassis. 1. Use a T25 driver to tighten down a screw and nut with lock washers to make earth ground contact between the rails and rear columns on both sides of the rack. See circled number 1 in Figure 2-5. 2. Fasten the two rear bracket PDUs to the rack with two screws. Make sure the rear bracket PDUs rest on the foot at the back of the NetServer LPr enclosure. See circled number 2 in Figure 2-5. 3. Fasten the PDU to the rear bracket PDUs with two screws and nuts with lock washers. Tighten down hard to make earth ground contact. See circled number 3 in Figure 2-5. NOTE For additional information, see the instruction sheet that came with the optional rear bracket PDU. You will find screws and nuts with external-toothed lock washers with the PDU and with the optional rear bracket PDU used to mount it. 22

Mounting the PDU on an LPr Rear Bracket-PDU
In high-density LPr installations, you may choose to mount PDUs on the rear
brackets which are also used to mount each LPr chassis. These optional rear
bracket PDUs come with each LPr. Take these steps and refer to Figure 2-5:
NOTE
The brackets serve to dampen vibration of the server chassis.
1.
Use a T25 driver to tighten down a screw and nut with lock washers to
make earth ground contact between the rails and rear columns on both
sides of the rack. See circled number 1 in Figure 2-5.
2.
Fasten the two rear bracket PDUs to the rack with two screws. Make sure
the rear bracket PDUs rest on the foot at the back of the NetServer LPr
enclosure. See circled number 2 in Figure 2-5.
3.
Fasten the PDU to the rear bracket PDUs with two screws and nuts with
lock washers. Tighten down hard to make earth ground contact. See
circled number 3 in Figure 2-5.
NOTE
For additional information, see the instruction sheet that came
with the optional rear bracket PDU. You will find screws and
nuts with external-toothed lock washers with the PDU and
with the optional rear bracket PDU used to mount it.
