Note: You can only use one memory card in your HP PSC at a time. 1 Insert the memory card into the appropriate slot on your HP PSC. When the memory card is inserted correctly, the Photo button on the front panel remains on. If you insert a memory card backwards, the light next to the card slot blinks amber and the front panel might display an error message such as "Card is in backwards" or "Card is not fully inserted". 2 Reading camera memory card... appears on the front panel display. The light next to the card slots blinks green when the card is being accessed. When the HP PSC finishes reading the card, both the Photo button and access light stop blinking and remain illuminated. 3 Another message appears showing the number of files found on the memory card. Warning! You can safely remove the card only when the light next to the slots remains on. If you try to remove a card when the light blinks, you can damage files on the card or even make the card unusable. 4 If the card contains new files that have never been transferred to your computer, a prompt on the display directs you to a dialog box on your computer where you can continue the transfer of files from the card to the computer, or cancel the transfer. Choose the option to continue with the transfer. This saves all the new photos from the memory card to your computer using the HP PSC software. For Windows: by default, files are saved in month and year folders depending on when the photos were taken. The folders are created under the C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Pictures folder in Windows XP and Windows 2000. For Macintosh: by default, files are saved to the computer at the location Hard Drive:Documents:HP All-in-One Data:Photos folder (OS 9) or Hard Drive:Users:User Name:Pictures:HP Photos folder (OS X). 22 hp psc 2300 series

Note:
