Description For use only on computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with discrete memory For use only on computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with UMA memory Spare part number 926847-001 926846-001 Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive on page 36), and then remove the following components: a. Bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 37) b. Battery (see Battery on page 39) c. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 43) d. Fan (see Fan on page 49) e. System board (see System board on page 50) Remove the heat sink: NOTE: Steps 1 and 2 apply to computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with discrete memory. See Steps 3 and 4 for heat sink removal information for computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with UMA memory. 1. Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1.
