Power connector cable Description Power connector cable (includes bracket) Spare part number 730900-001 Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 40). 5. Remove the service door (see Service door on page 41). Remove the power connector cable: 1. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×5.5 screws (1) and the Phillips PM2.5×10.5 screw (2) that secure the display assembly right hinge to the computer. 2. Open the display assembly right hinge (3) as far as it will open. 3. Disconnect the power connector cable (4) from the system board. 4. Release the power connector cable from the retention clips (5) and routing channel built into the bottom cover. Component replacement procedures 59

Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1.

3.

Remove the power connector cable:
1.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×5.5 screws

and the Phillips PM2.5×10.5 screw

that
secure the display assembly right hinge to the computer.

Open the display assembly right hinge

as far as it will open.
3.
Disconnect the power connector cable
(4)
from the system board.
4.
Release the power connector cable from the retention clips
(5)
and routing channel built into the
bottom cover.
