Removal and replacement procedures Bluetooth module ✎ The Bluetooth module spare part kit does not include a Bluetooth module cable. The Bluetooth module cable is available using spare part number 579161-001. Description Bluetooth module Spare part number 537921-001 Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see "Battery" on page 4-7). 5. Remove the switch cover and keyboard (see "Switch cover and keyboard" on page 4-20). Remove the Bluetooth module: 1. Disconnect the Bluetooth module cable 1 from the system board. 2. Slide the Bluetooth module out of the holder 2. 3. Remove the module from the computer 3. Removal and replacement procedures
Bluetooth module

The Bluetooth module spare part kit does not include a Bluetooth module cable. The Bluetooth module cable is
available using spare part number 579161-001.
Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
“Battery” on page 4-7
).
5. Remove the switch cover and keyboard (see
“Switch cover and keyboard” on page 4-20
).
Remove the Bluetooth module:
1. Disconnect the Bluetooth module cable

from the system board.
2. Slide the Bluetooth module out of the holder

3. Remove the module from the computer

Reverse this procedure to install the Bluetooth module.
