Description Spare part number For use with computers equipped with discrete graphics subsystem memory and 1 GB 571187-001 of dedicated memory For use with computers equipped with discrete graphics subsystem memory and 512 MB of dedicated memory 571188-001 For use with computers equipped with UMA graphics subsystem memory 571186-001 Before removing the system board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see "Battery" on page 4-7). 5. Remove the following components: a. Optical drive (see "Optical drive" on page 4-9) b. Hard drive (see "Hard drive" on page 4-15) c. Switch cover (see "Switch cover and keyboard" on page 4-20) d. Display assembly (see "Display assembly" on page 4-25) e. System board
The system board spare kit includes replacement thermal material.
Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
“Battery” on page 4-7
).
5. Remove the following components:
a.

c.
