5 Removal and replacement procedures NOTE: This chapter provides removal and replacement procedures for Authorized Service Provider only components. Components described in this chapter should only be accessed by an authorized service provider. Accessing these components can damage the computer or void the warranty. There are as many as 52 screws that must be removed, replaced, and/or loosened when servicing the computer. Make special note of each screw size and location during removal and replacement. Computer feet The computer feet are adhesive-backed rubber pads. There are 2 rubber feet that attach to the bottom cover in the locations illustrated below. The feet are included in the Rubber Kits, spare part numbers 768019-001 (for use on computers in natural silver finish) and 768018-001 (for use on computers in vibrant red finish). Computer feet 29

Removal and replacement procedures

Computer feet
The computer feet are adhesive-backed rubber pads. There are 2 rubber feet that attach to the
