Removal and replacement procedures Bluetooth module ✎ The Bluetooth module spare part kit does not include a Bluetooth module cable. The Bluetooth module cable is included in the Cable Kit, using the following spare part numbers: ■ 583282-001-for use only with HP Compaq 6545b computer models ■ 593853-001-for use only with HP Compaq 6540b computer models ■ 583957-001-for use only with HP Compaq 6445b computer models ■ 593854-001-for use only with HP Compaq 6440b computer models Description Bluetooth module Spare part number 537921-001 Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see "Battery" on page 4-7). 5. Remove the accessory cover (see "Mass storage device" on page 4-11). Remove the Bluetooth module: 1. Loosen the Phillips PM2.0×6.0 captive screw 1 that secures the Bluetooth module compartment cover to the computer. 2. Lift the Bluetooth module compartment cover 2 straight up to remove it. The Bluetooth module compartment cover is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part numbers 583279-001 (for use only with HP Compaq 6545b and 6540b computer models) and 583954-001 (for use only with HP Compaq 6445b and 6440b computer models).
