When replacing the system board, be sure to remove the heat sink (see Heat sink on page 45) from the defective system board and install it on the replacement system board. Remove the system board: 1. Disconnect the following cables from the system board: (1) Speaker cables (two locations) (2) Solid-state drive connector board ZIF connector cable (3) Keyboard ZIF connector cable (4) Backlight ZIF connector cable (5) TouchPad ZIF connector cable (6) Thermal sensor board ZIF connector cable (7) Display panel cable (8) Audio jack board ZIF connector cable Component replacement procedures 43
