Heat sink Description Heat sink Spare part number L37659-001 IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal and replacement. Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 34), and then remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 35). b. TouchPad (see TouchPad on page 37). c. Fans (see Fans on page 44). d. System board (see System board on page 46). Remove the heat sink: 1. Turn the system board over, and then remove the 3 Phillips M2.0×2.5-I screws securing the heat sink to the system board (1). 2. Remove the heat sink (2). Heat sink 49
