Log in to the switch (see "Establishing a serial connection" on page 45). 2. Set up IP addresses (see "Configure IP addresses for CP cards" on page 56 and "Configure IP address for the switch" on page 57). 3. Establish an Ethernet connection (optional). See "Establish an Ethernet connection" on page 58. 4. Specify the switch name (see "Customize a switch name" on page 59). 5. Set up the switch status policies (see "Specify status policies" on page 59). 6. Specify the Domain ID for the switch (see "Set the Domain ID" on page 60). 7. Connect to the fabric and establish fabric parameters, including PID settings (see "Connect to the fabric and configure fabric parameters" on page 60). 8. Enable software licenses, as necessary (see "Enable software licenses" on page 61). 9. Back up the configuration (see "Back up the configuration" on page 62).
