26 Chapter 3 Verify Current Software Selection Use this dialog box (Figure 3-11 and Table 3-5) to perform/schedule verification of the software installed on selected terminal(s). The installed software is checked for permissions, file sizes, groups, and performs a byte-by-byte comparison against a master software image obtained from the installation CD. Figure 3-11 Verify Terminal Dialog Box Note If you are going to use terminal names in the Verify Terminal and Restore Terminal dialog boxes, you must either have DNS set up to map the terminal names to their IP addresses or you can provide terminal name-to-IP address mapping in the local "hosts" file on the server. The hosts file will be referred to first, before DNS is consulted.
