4 Managing the MPX200 for XP 24000/20000 Setting up the MPX200 management port Access to the MPX200 CLI is required for initial setup. Connect to the CLI through one of the following: • RS-232 serial port (115200/8/n/1) • Telnet • Secure Shell (SSH) By default, the management port obtains a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) address. If the management port cannot obtain a DHCP address, you must set a static IP address. Static IP addresses are highly recommended to retain connectivity. Once connected, select the desired blade to manage by using the blade command (see Figure 31). Figure 31 Use the blade # command . Use the admin start command to change settings (see Figure 32).
