EVA storage system rules and guidelines The MPX200 is supported with the following EVA storage systems: • EVA4400/4400 with embedded switch • EVA4000/4100/6000/6100/8000/8100 • EVA6400/8400 All MPX200 configurations must follow these EVA connectivity rules: • All MPX200 Fibre Channel connections are supported for fabric-connect or direct-connect configurations. • Each EVA storage system can connect to a maximum of one MPX200 chassis (two blades). • Each EVA controller host port can connect to a maximum of two MPX200 Fibre Channel ports. • A maximum of one MPX200 chassis (two blades) can be zoned with up to four EVA storage systems. • An EVA storage system can present LUNs to iSCSI initiators and Fibre Channel hosts concurrently. HP Command View EVA management rules and guidelines The HP Command View EVA implementation for the MPX200 supports management of up to four EVA storage systems concurrently, and provides the equivalent functionality for both iSCSI and Fibre Channel connected servers. All MPX200 management functions are integrated in HP Command View EVA. IMPORTANT: The MPX200 requires a specific controlled release of HP Command View EVA. EVA storage system rules and guidelines
The MPX200 is supported with the following EVA storage systems:
EVA4400/4400 with embedded switch
EVA4000/4100/6000/6100/8000/8100
EVA6400/8400
All MPX200 configurations must follow these EVA connectivity rules:
All MPX200 Fibre Channel connections are supported for fabric
connect or direct-connect config-
urations.
Each EVA storage system can connect to a maximum of one MPX200 chassis (two blades).
Each EVA controller host port can connect to a maximum of two MPX200 Fibre Channel ports.
A maximum of one MPX200 chassis (two blades) can be zoned with up to four EVA storage systems.
An EVA storage system can present LUNs to iSCSI initiators and Fibre Channel hosts concurrently.
HP Command View EVA management rules and guidelines
The HP Command View EVA implementation for the MPX200 supports management of up to four
EVA storage systems concurrently, and provides the equivalent functionality for both iSCSI and Fibre
Channel connected servers. All MPX200 management functions are integrated in HP Command View
EVA.
IMPORTANT:
The MPX200 requires a specific controlled release of HP Command View EVA. For more information
and to receive the supported HP Command View EVA version, contact your HP service representative.
