Network Cards The Network Cards setting displays the network cards installed in the terminal. 1. Tap Start > Settings > Connections > Network Cards. 2. Tap on an adapter in the list to review its settings. (Server-assigned IP addresses use DHCP.) 3. If you make a change on one of these tabs, tap OK to confirm the changes. 4. You must perform a soft reset to update the registry entries; see Soft Reset (Warm Boot) on page 3- 15. During the soft reset, the new registry entries are created and can be read by the applications that need them. ! Do NOT perform a Hard Reset (Cold Boot) (see page 3-15) after modifying an adapter here. Hard resets return the terminal to factory defaults, which erases network adapter modifications made here. You must perform a soft reset to update the registry entries; see

During the soft reset, the new registry entries are created and can be read by the applications
that need them.
Do NOT perform a
Hard Reset (Cold Boot)
(see page 3-15) after modifying an adapter here. Hard resets return
the terminal to factory defaults, which erases network adapter modifications made here.
