9 Security Activating/Deactivating the Phone Lock The phone lock protects your phone from unauthorized use. By default, the phone lock function is not activated. You can change the default phone lock code to any numeric string of 1 to 8 digits.（The default phone lock code is the last four numbers of MDN.） 1. Select Menu > Settings > Security Settings > Phone Lock. 2. Select one of the following phone lock modes:  Immediate: The phone is locked immediately.  Power On: The phone lock is activated when the phone is powered on next time.  Off: The phone lock is deactivated. Changing the Phone Lock Code Do remember your phone lock code. If you forget it, contact your local dealer. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Security Settings > Change Phone Code. 2. Enter the correct phone lock code and press (OK). 3. Enter the new phone lock code and press (OK). 4. Enter the new phone lock code again and press (OK). 16
