Updated October 31, 2007 Models 7x2 The POS USB PC ports are all driven from the POS riser card and comply with the USB 2.0 standard. These controllers are all Universal Host Controller Interface (UHCI) or Enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI) compliant. Unique software interface For the software programmer, the SurePOS Models 721/741/781 and 722/742/782 appear as a PCI-based PC system unit with the usual PC peripherals . The unique POS function is packaged on the PCI riser card. The following unique functions are also provided in the system unit: v Two PCI feature card slots or optionally on the Models 742 and 782, 1 PCI and 1 x1 Lane PCI Express feature card slots v 128 KB of nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM) v A ROM that connects to the system ROM during POST to provide additional function and information v An interface to the RS-485 (EIA 485) subsystem, if the system is equipped with RS-485 ports.
