6 DSC OPERATION ■ Transmitting DSC Calls (Continued) D Test call Testing on the exclusive DSC distress and safety calling channels should be avoided as much as possible by using other methods. When testing on the distress/safety channel is unavoidable, it should be indicated that these are test transmissions.
