Arms SECTION 5-ARMS ƽ WARNING After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may occur. DO NOT attempt to lift or tilt a wheelchair by using any removable (detachable) parts. Lifting by means of any removable (detachable) parts of a wheelchair may result in injury to the user or damage to the wheelchair. Installing the Optional Swingaway Padded Armrest Socket Assembly NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 1. 1. Fold down the back. Refer to Unfolding/Folding the Back on page 30. 2. Install the arm socket on the arm socket plate using the two short mounting screws, four washers and locknuts. 3. Remove the two existing mounting screws and locknut located on the back cane mounting bracket. Discard the two existing mounting screws. Retain the locknut for installing the swingaway padded armrest socket assembly. NOTE: Position arm socket towards outside and rear of the wheelchair frame. 4. Align the mounting holes in the arm socket plate and wheelchair frame. NOTE: When performing STEP 5, use the two mounting screws supplied with the kit. 5. Using the 2 1/2 inch mounting screw and 11/4 inch mounting screw, coved washers and locknut, secure the arm socket plate to the wheelchair frame in the orientation shown in FIGURE 1 . Securely tighten. 6. Repeat STEPS 2‐5 for the opposite arm socket. Part No 1134872 27 Crossfire™Series Wheelchairs

Installing the Optional Swingaway Padded Armrest
Socket Assembly
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 1.
1.
Fold down the back. Refer to Unfolding/Folding the Back
on page 30.
2.
Install the arm socket on the arm socket plate using the two short mounting screws,
four washers and locknuts.
3.
Remove the two existing mounting screws and locknut located on the back cane
mounting bracket. Discard the two existing mounting screws. Retain the locknut for
installing the swingaway padded armrest socket assembly.
NOTE: Position arm socket towards outside and rear of the wheelchair frame.
4.
Align the mounting holes in the arm socket plate and wheelchair frame.
NOTE: When performing STEP 5, use the two mounting screws supplied with the kit.

inch mounting screw, coved washers and
locknut, secure the arm socket plate to the wheelchair frame in the orientation shown
in FIGURE 1 . Securely tighten.

Repeat STEPS 2

5 for the opposite arm socket.
