Invacare® TDX® SP2 Series 10 After Use 10.1 Reuse The product is suitable for reuse. To recondition the product for a new user, carry out the following actions: • Clean the product. Refer to 9 Maintenance, page 65. • Inspection according to service plan. Consult service instructions, available from Invacare. • Adaptation to the user. Refer to 5 Setup, page 39. 10.2 Disposal • Disposal must be carried out in accordance with the respective national legal provisions. • Ask your city or district council for details of the local waste management companies. Fig. 10-1 • The equipment wrapping is potentially recyclable. • The metal parts are used for scrap metal recycling. • The plastic parts are used for plastic recycling. • Electric components and printed circuit boards are disposed of as electronic scrap. • Old, used or damaged batteries are hazardous material and MUST be recycled through an approved agency. Discarding these batteries in the trash is considered improper disposal and is unlawful in many locations.
