MPEG-4 Encoding display Framesize Framerate Bitrate I Frame Interval When the encoder is set to MPEG-4, the settings items are as follows. MPEG4 Matches the Framesize selected in Multi-Encode 2. Cannot be set from Encoding No. [Set values: 640x480, 320x240] Select the Framerate. [Set values: 15 fps, 10 fps, 7.5 fps, 1 fps] Select the single encoding compression method from CBR (fixed Bitrate) or VBR (variable Bitrate). CBR : Encoding is performed at a fixed Bitrate regardless of the condition of the input image signal. The Bitrate is easy to predict. Select from the Bitrate Range List. VBR : The Bitrate changes according to the input image signal. The Bitrate is difficult to predict. Select from the Bitrate Range List. [Set values: CBR, VBR] Bitrate range: [Set values: 64, 128, 256, 384, 512, 768, 1024, 1536, 2048, 3072] kbps Select I Frame Interval. Sets I Frame Interval as the starting point and encodes. The smaller the interval, greater the stability of image quality even if the image changes greatly. With images which do not change image, set the image quality low. Also, this reduces the time needed for recovery of images with which packet loss has occurred during multicast. [Set values: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 25, 30] frames Memo: ● Setting ranges may be restricted and some settings options may be unselectable depending on encoder combinations. Refer to Single Encode, Multi-Encode, and Multi-Resolution for more information. 31
