JETVARNISH 3D One 3.11 LED Flashlights used nearby the UV Printheads When the Operator needs to perform some maintenance operations inside the UV Print Engine, it might be convenient to use a Flashlight to better see inside this cabinet. The MGI LED flashlight is the only authorized light source to avoid any polymerization problem within the Printheads and/or the Varnish circuits. Any other lights are prohibited (Smartphone, Maglite, ...). MGI delivered this Flashlight (see picture #1) with the equipment, until June 2022. Picture #1 - MGI LED Flashlight V1 From September 2022, MGI changed to another available LED Flashlight (see picture #2). ON/OFF button Picture #2 - MGI LED Flashlight V2 MGI is continuously modifying the varnish formulas to comply with stricter environmental regulations and to improve overall varnish performances. These chemical changes introduced a greater sensitivity to the UV radiations. After recent tests, MGI Chemical Department demonstrated the MGI LED Flashlights could emit enough UV radiations to have an impact on the varnish polymerization. To avoid a varnish polymerization generated by a MGI LED flashlight, we are giving you the maximum exposure timing and distances to respect. Any polymerization damage occurred by a not authorized usage, will not be covered by the manufacturer or the Service Contract. When the Operator needs to perform some maintenance operations inside the UV Print Engine, it might
be convenient to use a Flashlight to better see inside this cabinet.
The MGI LED flashlight is the only authorized light source to avoid any polymerization problem within
the Printheads and/or the Varnish circuits.
