JETVARNISH 3D One The print speed table is using the following assumptions: • Gap between two sheets = 10 cm when arriving on the printing belt • Sheet size (L x w) = A3 landscape = 29.7 x 42 cm NOTE: Printing speeds are given as an indicative information and may vary according to printing substrate, number of drops set on the data file and under full operator responsibility. You will notice that the current JETVARNISH 3D ONE has two technical limits. The upper limit where the JETVARNISH 3D ONE cannot go faster than 0.3 meter per second. The lower limitation where the JETVARNISH 3D ONE cannot go slower than 0.05 meter per second. With the JETVARNISH 3D ONE, it is not possible to print in less than 3 drops, equivalent to 21 µm of varnish thickness. Only the dithering mode can enable this by using a halftoning technique. It allows spraying less varnish, but the substrate and the CYMK ink should support this low varnish coverage. Dithering mode When using the dithering mode, this never influences the speed of the JETvarnish. It remains at the speed corresponding to the original thickness sets in the JVTi. It is only acting on the varnish image creation using MGI algorithms. Examples: A3 print speed @ 21 µm without dithering = 2,077 A3/hour A3 print speed @ 21 µm with dithering and areas at 33% of grey level = 2,077 A3/hour for a theoretical thickness of 7 µm User Manual - 26 -
