1.2 Glass Plate Unit (Option) Handle Chapter 4 Operation Holding the handle, lower the glass in the direction of the arrow so that the glass is pressing down on the document. Keep your hands off the book table while lowering the glass. Use care to prevent your fingers, fingernails, etc., from being pinched by the glass as it is lowered. When raising or lowering the Glass Plate Unit, never hold any part of the unit other than its handle. Hold down the handle so that the glass plate will not shift while scanning is in progress. 4-3
