EN 69 Cable Box Brand Setting 2 VCR CABLE TV /DBS When programed (set) with a manufacturer 's (brand's) code, this Remote can perform some of the remote control functions of the listed cable boxes. If your cable box does not function with a specified code, try other codes. 1 Turn on the cable box 3 - 1,3 4 4 3 - 24 Number keys TV/VCR CH +/- ENTER Turn on the cable box using the Power button on the cable box or its Remote. 2 Set remote operation mode 3 Enter cable box brand code Set the VCR/TV/CABLE/DBS selector to "CABLE/ DBS". Follow the example shown below. 1 Press and hold POWER. 2 Press the Number keys to enter your cable box's brand code by referring to the table below. 3 Press STOP ( 7 ), and release POWER. ● Once you have set the Remote to operate a cable box, you do not have to set it again until you replace the Remote's batteries. 3-3 4 Operate cable box Press one of the following buttons: POWER, TV/ VCR CH +/-, and Number keys. ● For some brands, you must press ENTER after having pressed the Number keys to enter a channel number. ● To change the cable box's channels, press TV/VCR CH +/- or the Number keys. ● To operate the VCR, set the VCR/TV/CABLE/ DBS selector back to "VCR".
