Installation and Setup Menu Configuration The configurable items in the menu are: • Connections • Alerts • Options • Security • Diagnostics • Buddy List Connections To choose the proper connection for your MX240a unit: Action 1 Click the Connections tab. 2 Under Internet Connection, click Modem or Local Area Network (LAN). 3 Under Modem Connections, click "Automatically Dial Internet Connection" or "Require Manual Dialing of Internet Connection" (typically Automatically Dial is selected). 4 If your system uses a proxy server, check the appropriate box and enter the requested information. 5 When all information has been entered, click Apply.
