Web Management User Guide ARP Table Configuration You can use this screen to change the configuration parameters for the Address Resolution Protocol Table. You can also use this screen to display the contents of the table. To display the ARP Table Configuration page, click Routing ARP Advanced ARP Table Configuration. 1. Use Age Time to enter the value for the switch to use for the ARP entry ageout time. You must enter a valid integer, which represents the number of seconds it will take for an ARP entry to age out. The range for this field is 15 to 21600 seconds. The default value for Age Time is 1200 seconds. 2. Use Response Time to enter the value for the switch to use for the ARP response time-out. You must enter a valid integer, which represents the number of seconds the switch will wait for a response to an ARP request. The range for this field is 1 to 10 seconds. The default value for Response Time is 1 second. 3. Use Retries to enter an integer that specifies the maximum number of times an ARP request will be retried. The range for this field is 0 to 10. The default value for Retries is 4. 4. Use Cache Size to enter an integer that specifies the maximum number of entries for the ARP cache. The range for this field is 256 to 1664. The default value for Cache Size is 1664. 5. Use Dynamic Renew to control whether the ARP component automatically attempts to renew ARP Entries of type Dynamic when they age out. The default setting is Enable. 6. Use Remove from Table to remove certain entries from the ARP Table. The choices listed specify the type of ARP Entry to be deleted: • All Dynamic Entries • All Dynamic and Gateway Entries • Specific Dynamic/Gateway Entry - Selecting this allows the user to specify the required IP Address. 192
