Appendix 222 File Naming Conventions Windows: File names may not contain quotes or any of the following characters and "|".. Macintosh: File names may not contain Colons (":") and if the file is to be shared with a user of Microsoft Windows, the file may not contain quotes or any of the following characters and "|". Printing Setting up Your Printer Note that the printer must be properly connected and the printer drivers correctly installed. Please note: If the image will not fit in the printable area at the current printer and paper size settings when you click the Print button to begin printing, a message will be displayed warning that the image will be cropped to fit the printable area. Choose a larger paper size or reduce the size of the image using the Size/Resolution palette. Color Management Preferences (Windows) Multiple Displays In a multiple display environment, choose a single profile suited to all displays. Supported Color Profiles Capture NX supports only ICC (International Color Consortium) monitor and CMYK profiles. Particular care should be exercised when choosing a CMYK profile, as the profile supplied by the manufacturer of your output device may not be an ICC profile. Please note: See Appendix: Supplied Color Profiles ( 214) for more information on the default RGB color-space profiles. Please note: The "NKCMYK. icm" (Windows) and "Nikon CMYK 4.0.0.3000" (Macintosh) CMYK profiles provided with Capture NX are generalpurpose, almost neutral profiles that are not based on a specific ink set, making them suited for use where output conditions are not known. Advisories & Additional Notices Size / Resolution Please note: The units for size and resolution are lost when settings are saved using the Save option.
