Chapter 15
Toolbar F6 - Selection Tools
Selection Brush
The Selection Brush enables you to
selectively paint in or paint out the
enhancements found in the current
step. The Selection Brush Tool is not
accessible while working within the
Browser.
Select the Selection Brush and then
select either the Plus Brush or the
Minus Brush options to control where
the enhancements in the current step
are applied.
Selecting the Plus Brush enables you
to add the current step’s enhance-
ments to the image. If the current step
has already been applied to the entire
image (as indicated within the Edit
List’s Selection Notification Area as
All Selected), selecting the Plus Brush
and then painting will immediately
remove the current step’s effect from
the image and apply it only to the area
you are painting. You can toggle to
this tool with the + key after select-
ing the Brush Tool from the Toolbar, or
you can temporarily toggle to this tool
by holding down the Alt (Windows) or
Option (Mac OS) key while the Minus
Brush is selected.
