For a complete explanation of the Unsharp Mask feature, please see page 153. 59 Enhancement Steps Apply Step Checkbox Off Link Icon Apply Step Checkbox On Chapter 10 Once you are satisfied with the results of the Unsharp Mask feature, click on the OK button. If you want to cancel the feature, click on the Cancel button. If you would like to remove the Unsharp Mask effect at any time, uncheck the Apply Checkbox next to Unsharp Mask. The Edit List CROPPING & RESIZING The Cropping & Resizing feature appears within the Detail Adjustments section of the Base Adjustments step whenever the current image has been cropped or resized in a previous version of Capture or within PictureProject. If you would prefer to disable the crop and resizing applied within previous versions of Capture or within PictureProject, simply uncheck the Apply Checkbox for this item. STRAIGHTENING The Straightening feature appears whenever the current image has been straightened in a previous version of Capture or within PictureProject. If you would prefer to disable any straightening applied within previous versions of Capture or within PictureProject, simply uncheck the Apply Checkbox for this item. Show/Hide Triangle Apply Enhancement Checkbox Off Apply Enhancement Checkbox On Enhancement Steps can either be automatically created by Capture NX or manually started using the New Step button. Read more about this feature on page 66. Enhancement Steps include all steps that occur after the Base Adjustments step and have slightly different functionality. There are two significant differences between the Base Adjustment Steps and the Enhancement Steps: Enhancement Steps only contain the enhancement that you identify, either from the Menus or through the Adjust & Filter pull-down Menu that can be present in Enhancement Steps.
