New batteries must be charged for at least 24 hours before initial use, with your phone off. A new battery’s full performance is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles! IMPORTANT: Use only batteries approved by the phone manufacturer and recharge your battery only with the chargers approved by the manufacturer. See “Important battery information” on page 6. When should you charge? With only a couple of minutes of talk time remaining, your phone will warn you with a tone and %$77(5< /2: will appear on your display. Once all the power has been drained from your battery, you’ll hear three beeps with the message 5(&+$5*( %$77(5< on your display. At this point, your phone will switch itself off. To charge or recharge your battery You can charge your phone while it is on or off. Simply connect the lead from the charger to the bottom of your phone or place it on a charging stand. Then connect the charger to a standard 120V AC outlet. When the battery begins charging, the battery strength indicator on the right side of the display will scroll and your phone will beep once. 4
