Chapter 5 FUNCTION - Taking black & white or sepia-toned pictures Lets you add special effects to your pictures during shooting. 4 effects are available. BLACK&WHITE : Takes pictures in black and white. SEPIA : Gives pictures a sepia tone. WHITE BOARD : Pictures are in black and white, with black letters on white backgrounds emphasized to make them easier to read. BLACK BOARD : Same as WHITE BOARD, but for white letters on black backgrounds. Reverses blacks and whites in the image. In the top menu, select MODE MENU T CAMERA T FUNCTION T Select a mode, then press to complete the setting. To start shooting, press again. Setting limitations and Default settings (Function shooting) The setting for the Function shooting differs depending on the shooting mode concerned as shown below. Mode dial (Mode menu) S-Prg P A/S/M/ Setting limitation Factory default setting OFF, BLACK&WHITE or SEPIA is available. Any of the 5 function-shooting modes are available. OFF ● For the S-Prg mode, the change in one mode is forcibly applied to the other modes in the S-Prg mode. For the P and A/S/M modes, the change in one shooting mode is forcibly applied to other shooting modes as well. ● For mode, the setting can be changed separately from other shooting modes. ~ Continued on next page 109

:
Takes pictures in black and white.
SEPIA
:
Gives pictures a sepia tone.
WHITE BOARD
:
Pictures are in black and white, with black letters on

:
Same as WHITE BOARD, but for white letters on black
