Disconnecting the Camera or Removing the SmartMedia Card (continued) Disconnecting from a Macintosh When removing the card from the camera or disconnecting the camera (USB cable) from the computer, take the following steps so that a computer error does not occur. If the computer generates an error, disconnect the USB cable and restart the computer. Viewfinder Disconnection Preparations Orange lamp 1 Confirm that the orange lamp beside the viewfinder of the camera is not lit. • If the orange lamp is blinking, wait for it to stop. 2 Drag the PC untitled icon on the desktop to the "Trash". 7 Or, click the PC untitled icon, then select "Eject" from the "Special" menu in the Finder. 3 Press the OK button when the message is displayed. 4 Remove the card from the camera.
