Monitor HQ Night scene flash mark This setting fires the flash to expose the foreground while the shutter stays open to expose the details in the background. Night Scenes + Red-eye Reduction The combination of these two modes works best for taking pictures of people at night. Monitor ;;yy;y;;yy;y;;yy;y HQ Red-eye reduction flash mark Night scene flash mark The night scene flash and red-eye reduction flash (p.66) both operate at the same time. The shutter speed automatically slows down to 1/2 second in low-light conditions. The use of a tripod is recommended to prevent blurriness caused by camera movement. The flash will fire automatically when necessary. 68
