Taking Close-up Pictures (Macro Mode) Use the macro function to shoot subjects at very close distances.When using the macro function, maintain a distance of about 20 and 80cm (8″ and 31″). Pictures taken outside this range are likely to be out of focus or poorly exposed. Minimum distance: approximately 20cm (8″) Telephoto: If you wish to further enlarge the image, push the zoom lever toward T (telephoto). Monitor is filled by a 8cm (3″) × 6cm (2″) subject. Wide-angle:If you wish to make the image smaller, push the zoom lever toward W (wide).
