Playback While the recorder is during playback mode, press the 0 button twice. • The recorder skips to the beginning of the previous file. Notes • When you skip to the beginning of the file during playback, the recorder will stop at the position of the index mark and temp mark. The index mark and temp mark will be skipped when you perform the operation in stop mode (☞ P. 38). • When [Skip Space] set to other than [File Skip], the recorder will skip forward/ reverse the specified time, then will start playback (☞ P. 52). Playback through earphone An earphone can be connected to the EAR jack of the recorder for listening. To EAR jack • When the earphone is used, the recorder speaker will be switched-off. Notes • To avoid irritation to the ear, insert the earphone after turning down the volume level. • When you listen with the earphone during playback, do not raise the volume too much. It may cause hearing impairment and decrease in hearing ability. Settings relating to playback Playback [Segment repeat] (☞ P.40) This function enables repeated playback of part of the file being played. [Replace] (☞ P.56) This changes the order of the files in the selected folder. It is useful for playing back files in a preferred order while in normal playback mode etc. If recorded audio is difficult [Noise Cancel] (☞ P.50) to understand because of noisy surroundings, adjust the Noise Cancel setting level. 3 [EUPHONY] (☞ P.50) Level adjustments of the [EUPHONY] setting can be set to four stages according to preference. [Voice Filter] (☞ P.50) The recorder has a Voice Filter Function to cut low and high frequency tones during normal, fast, or slow playback, and enable clear audio playback. [Play Mode] (☞ P.50) You can select the playback mode that fits your preference. [Play Speed] (☞ P.51) The playback speed can be set to slow speed or fast speed playback. [Skip Space] (☞ P.52) The skip interval length can be set. [Alarm] (☞ P.52) [Play Scene] (☞ P.52) [Intro Play] (For DM-520) (☞ P.53) The alarm playback function can be set to play a selected file at a pre-set time. Playback settings of your choice can be saved to suit different sound qualities and playback methods.
