Advanced Setup-Continued Speaker Setup 1 This section explains items on the "Speaker Setup" menu. Some of the speaker settings are set automatically by the Automatic Speaker Setup function (see page 58). 2 3-12 2, 13 1 3 Speaker Settings See "Speaker Settings" on page 55. 4 Speaker Configuration These settings are set automatically by the Automatic Speaker Setup function (see page 58). With the Speaker Configuration settings, you can specify which speakers are connected and a crossover frequency, distance, and level for each speaker. The following crossover frequencies can be specified: Full Band, 40 Hz, 45 Hz, 50 Hz, 55 Hz, 60 Hz, 70 Hz, 80 Hz (THX), 90 Hz, 100 Hz, 110 Hz, 120 Hz, 130 Hz, 150 Hz, or 200 Hz. Specify Full Band for speakers that can output low-frequency bass sounds adequately, for example, speakers with a good sized woofer. For smaller speakers, specify a crossover frequency. Sounds below the crossover frequency will then be output by the subwoofer instead of the speaker. Refer to your speakers' manuals to determine the optimum crossover frequencies. If you're using THX-certified speakers, specify 80 Hz (THX) for all speakers. Press the [RECEIVER] REMOTE MODE button. Press the [SETUP] button. The main menu appears onscreen. Use the Up and Down [R]/[X] buttons to select "2. Speaker Setup", and then press [ENTER]. The "Speaker Setup" menu appears. 2. Speaker Setup 1. Speaker Settings 2. Speaker Config 3.
