Chapter 5 Using Your Basic Applications s Display a monthly calendar to quickly spot days where you have morning, lunch, or afternoon appointments. s Display an agenda showing appointments, untimed events, and your To Do items for the day. s Set an alarm to notify you of the scheduled activity. s Create reminders for events that are based on a particular date, rather than time of day. Birthdays and anniversaries are easy to track with your handheld. s Attach notes to individual events for a description or clarification of the entry in your Date Book. To open Date Book: s Press the Date Book application button on the front panel of your handheld. Date Book opens to today's schedule. Date Book button NOTE Press the Date Book application button repeatedly to cycle through the Day, Week, Month and Agenda views. Address Book Address Book enables you to keep names, addresses, phone numbers, and other information about your personal or business contacts. In Address Book, you can do the following: s Quickly look up or enter names, addresses, phone numbers, and other information. s Enter up to five phone numbers (home, work, fax, mobile, etc.) or e-mail addresses for each name. s Define which phone number appears in the Address list for each Address Book entry. s Attach a note to each Address Book entry, in which you can enter additional information about the entry. s Assign Address Book entries to categories so that you can organize and view them in logical groups. s Create your own digital business card that you can beam to other Palm OS® handhelds. 64
