Chapter 5 Using Your Basic Applications Note Pad NOTE Press the To Do List application button repeatedly to cycle through the categories in which you have items. Note Pad provides a place to take notes in your own handwriting. You can use Note Pad to do everything you might do with a piece of paper and a pencil. In Note Pad, you can do the following: s Take notes, draw a sketch, or write any kind of message directly on your handheld screen. Later, you can enter this information into other applications. s Set an alarm to use your notes as reminder messages. s Assign notes to categories so that you can organize and view them in logical groups. s Copy and paste notes into popular computer applications like Microsoft Word from Palm™ Desktop software after synchronizing data with HotSync® technology. s Choose the pen and paper color for your notes. To open Note Pad: s Press the Note Pad application button on the front panel of your handheld. Note Pad opens a new note so that you can begin writing immediately. Memo Pad Memo Pad provides a place to take notes that are not associated with records in Date Book, Address Book, or To Do List.
