Chapter 2 Exploring Your Handheld Stylus IR port The stylus is your writing and tapping tool. To use the stylus, gently press the top of the stylus to release it from the slot, and then pull it out of the slot and hold it as you would a pen or pencil. The port uses infrared technology to transmit data to and receive data from other infrared-enabled devices and to perform HotSync® operations. See "Beaming data" in Chapter 3 and see "Conducting IR HotSync operations" in Chapter 20 for more information. See "Resetting your handheld" in Appendix A for information about when and how to use the reset button. Enable you to connect optional accessories to your handheld, such as a modem or sled.
